Tácticas

178px|thumb|left Magyar Huszars are comparatively cheap. Despite this, they have a considerable amount of attack, are fast, and have an attack bonus against siege weapons, making them an ideal counter to siege units. Also, they attack quickly, striking once every 1.8 seconds. In the cavalry branch, that value is only matched by Knights and Cataphracts. They also train fast, though it is still easier to produce Hussars from multiple Stables than it is to produce Magyar Huszars from Castles. Magyar Huszars are an excellent complement for Cavalry Archers. They can easily deal with enemy siege weapons and Elite Skirmishers, which are major weaknesses of Cavalry Archers, making way for the Cavalry Archers to deal with everything else. Camel Riders, however, can be a threat. Pikemen naturally deal huge bonus damage against both the Cavalry Archer and the Magyar Huszar, but can usually do no more than scare them off due to their low speed and zero range. In combat against melee units, however, the Magyar Huszar's lackluster attack and armor makes it almost impossible to defeat anything in one-to-one combat. But considering their low cost, they still remain relatively cost effective against most of them nevertheless. Their low cost, high speed, and decent attack make them ideal for raiding. The Hussar gives a competition here because of the latter's massive Line of Sight, ease of creation at Stables, and cheaper cost. Magyar Huszars are also not nearly as effective against Monks as regular Hussars, lacking their conversion resistance and bonus damage against Monks. Light Cavalry are usually better than Magyar Huszars for raiding in the Castle Age due to their cheaper cost, with both of them killing a Villager with Loom in 5 attacks. However, in the Imperial Age, Elite Magyar Huszars are better than regular Hussars at raiding, killing a Villager with Loom in 3 strikes instead of the Hussar's 4, and likely having the benefit of Corvinian Army by that time.

Consejos

  • They cost no gold once the Corvinian Army technology is researched making them the ultimate trash unit.ageofnotes
  • They deal bonus damage to siege weapons making them perfect for sniping trebuchets.ageofnotes
  • Halberdiers still counter them effectively in direct melee combat.ageofnotes
  • They easily defeat Skirmishers due to their high mobility and fast melee attack.ageofnotes
  • They are an excellent meat shield to place in front of your vulnerable cavalry archers.ageofnotes
  • You're the fastest cavalry at 1.5 speed with only 35F/45G cost - incredibly cheap. With bonus damage vs siege, you can delete enemy siege weapons before they fire. Your 80 HP and 10 attack are modest, but your speed and cost-efficiency make you excellent for raiding and harassment. Avoid heavy cavalry - you can't win fair fights.aoecoach
  • Weak in direct combat. 80 HP and 0/2 armor means Knights destroy you. Don't fight - raid and snipe.aoecoach
