Upgrades Eagle Warrior to Elite Eagle Warrior
Tácticas
Eagle Warriors replace the cavalry for the Native American civilizations. Consequently, the Aztecs and Maya start the game in The Conquerors with an Eagle Warrior as a scout. Since The Forgotten, they have to be upgraded from their newly introduced predecessor, the Eagle Scout. As a consequence, the Eagle Scout replaces the Eagle Warrior as the starting scouting unit for the Native Americans. All Eagle Warriors have a special toggle-able Auto Scout ability. Eagle Warriors also cannot attack timid huntables like Deer, which before an update was a restriction only on the starting Eagle Scout. Eagle Warriors move quickly and have a long Line of Sight, increased conversion resistance, and an attack bonus against Monks. They also have an attack bonus against siege weapons and a small anti-cavalry bonus. However, almost every other infantry unit deals bonus damage against Eagle Warriors. Essentially, they help compensate for the Aztecs' and Maya's lack of cavalry. Compared to the Eagle Scout, the Eagle Warrior has armor and slightly higher hit points, for a reasonable price, making it a useful but not crucial upgrade. In the Castle Age, of the two civilizations with access to them, the Aztecs have a 15% faster creation, whereas the Mayan Eagle Warrior is generic. However, both civilizations will use them to a decent extent, though the Mayan Plumed Archers give them competition for a raiding unit.
