Though Hei Guang Cavalry have low base hit points, this is offset by their high armor, letting them survive longer than expected against various opponents. This is not as helpful against Elite Skirmishers, though, since the Hei Guang Cavalry and Knight both take 1 damage from them, and the Hei Guang has much lower hit points. Against anti-cavalry units with high bonus damage, such as Pikemen and Camel Riders, the low hit points of Hei Guang are a liability, making them almost as weak as Light Cavalry and considerably worse than Knights.
