Tácticas

The War Chariot is functionally a mounted Organ Gun-Scorpion hybrid, which can switch to function like one unit or the other at a time. Most infantry will be ineffective against War Chariots due to their speed, letting them avoid close-range fights. Eagle Warriors are a major threat, however, having high pierce armor and speed, and dealing bonus damage to both cavalry and siege. Champi Warriors are also a strong counter for the same reasons, only lacking the bonus damage against cavalry. Huskarls and Ghulams take little damage from War Chariots, but do not deal bonus damage to them either. Due to benefiting from cavalry armor technologies, War Chariots are very resistant to archers and will handle them fairly easily. Focus-fire mode is better against archers than barrage mode, due to the pass-through damage and the tendency of archers to cluster together. Due to being classified as siege units, Composite Bowmen and Leiciai attacks do not ignore their armor. Against Rattan Archers, both are equally ineffective against each other due to their respective pierce armor, though War Chariots have a slight advantage due to their pass-through damage. Genoese Crossbowmen are extremely deadly, however, due to their high bonus damage and cheaper cost. Camel Archers are not particularly effective, due to War Chariots not having armor. Against cavalry, War Chariots are a bad choice due to their minimum range, lack of base melee armor, and insufficient damage output if the cavalry have high pierce armor. Camel Riders are particularly dangerous due to their bonus damage and high speed, despite lacking pierce armor. Magyar Huszars and Shrivamsha Riders are also excellent counters to War Chariots: the former has anti- bonus damage and a cheap cost, while the latter's dodging mechanic can block a large number of War Chariot projectiles. If these are unavailable, a large amount of Light Cavalry can do the trick, since they can easily exploit the minimum range of War Chariots. Enemy siege weapons are the biggest threat to War Chariots, especially Mangonels and Bombard Cannons, since they outrange them and War Chariots are classified as . While Monks are a deadly counter with protection, War Chariots can quickly overwhelm a small group of Monks if not properly defended by melee units. Therefore, players should keep Monks protected from attack, whether it is by placing melee units in front of them or having them behind walls. War Chariots are often used during the early Castle Age due to their easy production (not requiring much food), being trained at the Siege Workshop and generally trading well against Feudal Age units. A few War Chariots can easily catch an unsuspecting player off guard, which could be lethal to an enemy's economy.
